Real pretty box. I know what you mean about the wenge!
Is that real or imitation ivory?

Thanks Jim…it is a tagua nut or palm ivory nut…it was fun to turn and is fairly hard…first time working with it and am eager to turn again.

great looking piece – I’ve used Wenge in a past project, agree it is very splintery, but the look afterwards is well worth it.

-- New Project = New Tool... it's just the way it is, don't fight it... :)
