I bought a number of these hinged lid storage boxes a couple years ago when Home Depot stopped selling them and went with the flimsy ones heh have now. I noticed my store still had a stack in the rafters and I talked the manager into selling them to me at a fraction of their original cost since they were no longer in their system and they didn’t have shelf space for them.

Since then I have needed a way to store them and ideally be mobile around the shop, into the house and into the cargo trailer.

This is what I came up with. It is made from 2×4s and some dumpster salvaged bed slats for the decking. It will hold 12 storage boxes while mobile with an additional 3 on top when in the shop. I’ll see how it goes and then probably build another one.

Good idea. I have made many a mobile cart and they sure make storage easy to move and access!!

cheers, Jim
