Report lew · Registered Joined Feb 13, 2008 · 6,953 Posts Nov 9, 2016 John- Thanks! I hope they like it. Steve- Thanks! Matt- Thanks! I'll add a couple of pictures to this post detailing the edge. Jim- Thanks! Not sure about the professional part, however! Tony- Thanks! Jim- Thanks! I finished mine on the same day you posted yours. Mark- Thanks! Ivan- Thanks! I really like to work with walnut. Turnkey- Thanks! Mike- Thanks! Zagreb- Thanks! Paul- Thanks! Steve- Thanks! Brian- Thanks! Smitty- Thanks! Bob- Thanks! pottz- Thanks! Charles- Thanks! For those who asked about the edge- I used a Sorby texturing tool to create a pattern around the edge, prior to scooping out the inside- After the inside was turned I used acrylic paint to cover the texture- Finally sanded the texture to reveal wooden high spots- Then polyed the entire piece to seal in the acrylic. Thanks for all of the views and making this a Daily Top 3. I really appreciate it! Attachments ogekazq.jpg 27.5 KB Views: 4 ogekcrj.jpg 23.8 KB Views: 4 ogek9vc.jpg 33.8 KB Views: 7
