This is a solid red oak tall Deacons bench I designed and built recently as a gift for my sister.
It’s in keeping with a simplistic shaker style although not QS white as I only had plain sawn red on hand;)

Finish is run of the mill walnut wiping stain and 2 coats of MLC Duravar Post cat conversion varnish.

Hey all… I don’t have a shred of wood-working talent, my big brother got it all, however I wanted to join so I could express my appreciation of my brother(SteveC)’s talent and to confirm that yes, indeed, his sister LOVES her deacon’s bench ;o)
