British motives tissue box made of firwood, for my daughter – she love British motives.
It’s first time I tried transfering printed photos on wood. I must admit, cleaning paper after dry is real pain.
I’m not so into this technic, although it’s quite good result at the end.
Corners and top are mitered, glued and strenghten with oak splines (saw blade thickness).
Dimensions are 13×13x11 cm. Top hole is 67mm diameter.

Much is learned (and enjoyed) when working subjects outside of one’s general interest. And you made your daughter very happy. :)

Cool Ivan – I have wanted to try that transfer of images myself. Here is a photo I took back in May when we were on vacation. You have copyright rights to use on your next project !!!

Nice work on the box and images!!

When I read this description in my e-mail this morning, I was wondering ” What is different about British tissue”? In my defense, I was less than half way into my first cup of coffee. Funny how pictures change everything.

Well this is great!!!! I need to learn more on this. You have a web site you go to for information on this subject? I have some real close friends that live in Oxford and would love this.
Great job.
