I have a broken cordless drill.
I have some of left over material.
what if I made a wood lathe like with these, the result was not more than a junk tool you may recognize..
But I got a tool I can play with for a while.
(Only investment I made was a DC power supply that costed 15$.)
Chisels are also shop made with $ shop goods.
As an experiment, I made lidded box, dish and hair cuffs.
The diameter of the dish is about 6 inches that is about the maximum size my lathe can handle.

Great tool idea, congrats and if it is useful for other items, just wonderful, thank you for sharing

Nice work, now you have a functional tool to use. Smart thinking.

Unique, crude but hey it works and you made something useful you did not have before. Even made a few projects that look good. It is all about the creative process.

I will not say it’s a beautiful maschine because I don’t like it, but things you made on it are just outstanding.

nicely done projects with a very simple home made lathe, couldn’t have been done better with the $$$$ lathes.
