Minature Beech Plane

. This was a learning experience in making a hand plane and morticing the mouth out of a solid block. I have made 2 so far and they were assembled in sort of like the Krenov style. This wood came from reclaimed 100 yr old beech and the iron was made from a abused chisel, both picked up at the Flea market for cheap. I had wanted to make an old style plane and figured making a minature would be a good place to start before tackling something more complicated. I think the opposite is true for me as , you seem to need smaller tools and good eyesight.

All the Best, Jeff

Nice, clean work on that mortise! And a cool little plane.

If you can build tiny stuff, the larger tasks should be easier?

How about the specs on your planes? bedding angles, length, and width. So we can copy your work. :)
