this is a small box i made using brazilian teak for the sides, jatoba for the top, figured maple for the bottom, & i made wooden hinges made from maple & cocobolo piece for the pull, & inlay strips on the lid. The top & bottom pieces are floating. The wood hinges were made using the ” incra hing crafter ” , my first time using it & i think it turned out ok, I also used brass feet from Lee Valley. The finishing was natural danish oil wet sanding with 320 twice & 400 once & four coats of poly with sanding between coats. It has been a while since I have done any woodworking , just had my second hip surgery done & i’m eager to make lots of sawdust, hope you enjoy, thanks foe taking a look.
