I have been in an orchestra for over 3 years and was asked to make or find some special batons. I don’t have a lathe so found some nice batons from old world baton. (One is 12” and one is 14”). Then a box was needed also I started with just the bocote but it required deeper groves so I made it deeper with some yellow heart. The outer shell is all bocote wood finished with laquer.

The box is 1.5” high length close to 15.5” and depth of 3”

For the discerning conductor, you’ve done an unbelievably nice thing.

I know nothing of batons but this looks beautiful. That box is really eye catching. Nicely done!

This is a wonderful baton case.

ANY conductor would certainly be proud to own such a beautiful set like this.
