Walnut corner chair with green leather seat. I always wanted to do one of these. This was done last year at a class at Lonnie Bird’s school. One amazing detail – I weighed the lumber in the rough to see how much loss there would be from all the carving, planing and shaping. The rough material weighed 94 pounds. The finished chair without seat weighs 14 pounds. I don’t make ink pens so the cutoffs went into the wood stove.

Very nice indeed! Always anxious to see more period pieces.
