Box for family photos....Picture box?

I needed a box to keep family photos in, so this is what I came up with. I wanted something sturdy because it will get a lot of use.

It is made of curly maple and walnut, with walnut splines. I worked very hard to get a tight joint on my miters.

I will be doing another box with glass when I have more time at home and less time on the road.

Thanks for looking, Nick

Excellent work all round Nick
A very interesting base concept, I hope you kept the off cuts for building something nice later.

Very nice design of bottom of that box. Overal design is also very clean, precise and good looking.

It’s a wonderful box made out of beautiful wood; and it’s a nice design executed with a lot of fine craftsmanship.

Thank you Rob. I did keep the scraps, but I have no ideas for them at this time.
