I decided to build a coffee table as my first major woodworking project. I didn’t want to invest a lot of cost into the materials but I also wanted to use something decent, so I chose poplar. The top was made from an edge glued panel made from spruce or aspen wood purchased from Lowes. I used only hand tools to make this entire project, with the exception of a cordless drill, and a router to clean up the edges.

Very nice. How many hours do you have in it?
