Project Information

This cabinet is part of the last project posted.

It was completed in January 2010 . It is based of kitchen style base cabinets except for the fact that they are only 16" deep. I used full extension rails and euro style hinges for a seamless look. All the doors and drawers are the 5 piece frame and panel style.

The uppers again are similar to uppers on for a kitchen. I built it using a frameless design except where the three cabinets come together in the center I have an 1 ½" face frame. This hides the seam. I built it to here the center cabinet has the face and the side cabinet, inside panels are back set. When they slide together it is seamless.

The counter tops for the desk was selected by the customer. It was Sedona Bluff from Wilsonart. Very nice pattern and texture. I used a matching oak on the front edges. We had some left over so I used it on a pullout tray on the bookcases.

The building pictures and recorded videos were too numerous to post here so made a page for them.

Very nice looking cabinet.
I like the grain pattern, it looks so harmonious as if its from the same timber.
