Welcome to my living room. Here it is! Finally as promised the SHOE TREE!
Carved from a 40 inch long spruce log which I salvaged from a fire pit, seven boots are the family of this tree.
It is a family coming from one log but the elements are as diverse as any family on this planet. The bottom two boots are Poppa and Momma with five kids each going in their own direction but as expected one has to be awkward and chose to go in another direction. Typical of a family tree.
The base is sappelle enclosing a steel shaft to hold the tree aloft.
Hope my living room with pictures, LPs. CDs, etc., etc. did not distract you too much. But I am pleased to share my home with you.
Enjoy!
Roman the Bootman!

Wow. Family history in a log. That is a conversation piece.

Roman, that’s too wonderful for words.

I feel very privileged to see this project not that many days ago when I I was invited into your home. Hope to try making a boot once I get the shop back in order and things are finished getting ready for winter. Just finished getting the lathe moved in.
