While cleaning out and organizing the shop in prep for our move, I found enough lumber with some character to make a bed for what was the ‘man cave’ and will be a bedroom for staging. The cedar I had completely forgotten about. The poplar was left over from the pile of lumber i got from the neighbor who was replacing the 100 year old siding on his old section of the farmhouse. I pretty much left the poplar as much stock as when i got it. The cut nail holes and knots are pretty good looking. Note the center section of the headboard between the cedar and the top of the side table.

The little side table was what i had left of the usable poplar and cedar after the headboard.

I’ll need to wait for more poplar from the neighbor to make another table. But it’s all good so far. I’ve already had offers for the headboard. Naw… we’ll keep it for the new house.
