Project Information

Another cowboy boot! Had this piece of birch cut and ready to carve sitting on my to-do-shelf for a couple of years. It's hard creating something new, but I needed room for my other projects, so I jumped into the dust and carved this little beauty!
The boot measures a bit more than nine inches in height and my pattern was simply a quick sketch of a woman's Western boot, fine features, delicate toe, heal and ankle moving into a slender vamp to accentuate the lower part of the leg! Hope this fosters your imagination and takes you to the real look of the beautiful woman wearing this style of boot.
The birch wood was heavily spalted, so I kept the detailing to a minimum. I let the wood do the talkin'.
Enjoy!

Nice use of a very nice piece of spalted birch Roman.
Funny I always think your pieces are bigger than they are …. and I know better.
Well done again.
