Project Information

So we finished up our bathroom and my wife wanted a custom vanity in the alcove with 'lots of drawers'. So I built this out of maple with mahogany beading on the raised panel drawer and door fronts. I took some leftovers from the marble mosaic border tiles that were used on the wall and used them as inlay for the doors to tie it all together a bit better. the top is black granite. I will say that if you're considering making inset drawers with dovetailed faces, don't waste your time on anything but top quality Blum slides. they're so adjustable that it's a snap to everything to line up to the nearest millimeter. they're great. Priced like they're made of jewel encrusted hen's teeth, but worth it.

My only mistake was thinking I'd get to use much of it.
See that shallow drawer on the upper left side?
That's mine.
I get the front half of it all to myself.

sink time isn't a problem for us. I'm out the door to work before she gets up.

I like the "That's mine. I get the front half of it all to myself." not even a full drawer sounds about right, same in my house. Very nicely done.
