This floor medallion measures 24” in diameter and consists of 74 full-thickness (3/8”) edge-glued pieces, and was installed in an oak floor. I was sent some drops of the same floor to use for the background field. Design species: curly koa, curled mango, and scaled macnut.

That’s awesome. How long does it take you to make something like that.

Damon, this medallion is a nice addition to the floor I am sure. It adds a great deal of visual interest.

Do you have any pictures of it installed in the floor?

Damon I would love to see it installed …. I bet the colors really make the medallion pop when the clear coat is applyed…. Beautiful work…. 3 thumbs up !!!

That looks great! I would hate to have to install the floor around it. How do you cut the ends to fit?

Great work Damon. Looks complicated. It’s going to look very impressive when it’s installed.
