I dropped by a local wood store & thought the lacewood looked neat. So, I bought it and cut some ornaments from it. It is a really unique wood. I typically finish the ornaments by wet sanding with Watco Danish oil using 320, 400 & 600 grit paper. They usually get quite smooth.
