I had no intention of making a table when I made this table. I was wandering around at a hardware store and stopped for a second in the lumber section (where I always find myself). I saw the center board buried somewhere in the “rejects” pile and bought it and a couple of others. A few hours later… table!

As the years go by it will brown nicely….

Poplar….the much aligned and always painted wood, it is better natural.

Great choice of wood. I really like the colors found in poplar and think it is too often overlooked and relegated to a “secondary” wood. Great design and build.

Nice, I like how you framed it, actually highlighting the center.

Very well done! I join the chorus in singing your accolades for this nice work. I, too, really like poplar and some of its many color variations. Great Job
