I made this cutting board for a fundraiser for my daughter’s cheerleading team. For stock, I used Maple and Walnut. I attached dovetailed “Feet” to the bottom of the board which makes it easier to pick up. Although not the original intended purpose, I have been told the project presents well enough to be used as a serving tray.

The dovetail feet are a nice touch. No mechanical fasteners to rust and depending on the direction they add another degree of warp control.

Well done!

I too like the dovetail feet. I had those on a canarywood trivet I made a few years ago and they are much more artistic than the rubber feet. Simple but elegant. I’m sure they’ll love it.
