Hey all, Long time lurker, first time poster. I was recently in Asheville, NC and I saw a beautiful coffee table that was designed by Danish architect Finn Juhl. I decided to take some design features (like the through-mortise storage underneath) and apply it to a pair of end tables. I made these from solid walnut, and thanks to the Domino, I cranked them out over one weekend. I’ll include a link to the video of the build. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

A fine looking end table—I like the floating top!

Thanks for the kind words, Dean.

pottz, I just used 1/4” aluminum rod because I had some lying around and I could cut it without digging out a hacksaw. I just epoxied them in place. For some reason, I didn’t film me putting the tops on, but yeah I just used 5-minute epoxy to lock them in place.
