Hi guys, like to share with u this folder knives i make for friends and family, i started making them a couple of years ago i make like five a year. Its based on the opinel and the nontron french folder knifes, i made the closing mechanism more simply and made a knife bigger the overall length is 250mm and the blade is 120 mm long 22mm wide.
Here are pictures of these knives being made

Cheers!!

Very nice and well done. I have been using Opinel and Laguiole since I am a kid. Those were the knives at my grand parents, parents and my home. I can appreciate the pleasure of using one of those knives. Similar to a No. 12. If you want it tested, you can send one to me :)

Yeah its a very old design, very simple with few parts, it can take a beating, i used one of this knives to split fire wood, i was out camping and had no axe, no damage was done to the knife, i make the blades out of stainless or tool steel, make the handle out of oak or beech, want to try out different hardwoods.
Sending out one for testing is a good idea but i live in eastern europe the postal cost is very high.
Thanx cheers.

Beautiful job! Love the Opinel style knives. Hey bushmaster, the collar spins around to lock the blade on Opinels then turns back to a slotted opening to let blade go closed. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinel_knife for some great info on them. Because of the plain beech handle they lend themselves to adornment such as carving.
