The things we do for our kids! As a die hard Michigan fan, this was a little painful. But in the end they turned out great and my daughter, a Junior at Michigan State, loves them.

Unfortunately I did not take any final pictures as they went right from drying to packed in the van for college.

Construction is 5/8 Baltic Birch with clear Pine frame work. I put down a layer of yellow frog tape, applied spray on contact adhesive over the top. Then I placed a large printed copy of Sparty helmet and the Spartan S over that. All that was cut out and removed.

Paint was Behr Premium Paint/Primer, heavily thinned with Windex and sprayed through my HVLP. Green is suppose to be a close match according to some web recommendations. I sprayed the legs white for contrast, but probably won’t do that again. They show the dirt too much.

Clear coat is General Finishes Enduro Pre-Cat Satin Urethane (which isn’t made anymore). Only 2 coats on the underside and who knows how many on the top. Hope it holds up well.

For bags, I did a green set with a white Spartan S and a Black Set with with a white Sparty helmet

Very nice indeed….....and I’m not a Michigan or Michigan State fan so you know that is an honest compliment.
Well done.

A hint for future projects when trying to match colors of teams, brands, schools, etc…

Google the name, color, and Pantone. For example, I googled “Michigan State Green Pantone”, and got:

http://brand.msu.edu/design-visual/ stating Michigan Green is Pantone 567.

Pantone is a nearly universal color matching system used in all forms of advertising. Many companies and organizations share the info for their vendors. Home Depot’s, and most other color mixing systems recognize Pantone color numbers.

A very nice set of corn holes indeed. I am sure your daughter will love them.

Also, Thanks Oggie for the info on Pantone. I did not know that. Should be useful in the future.

Love it.

Now, please make something that will curb all of the penalties from MSU Football. Every stinking game.
