Keyed Up – Vintage Retrofit Cigar Box Puzzle

For this puzzle I utilized an existing puzzle called ‘Free The Key’.

A fairly easy puzzle box to build with everything being attached to the underside of the lid.

The only tricky part was getting the key’s newly added tail to align properly with the back end block which gives the key a super smooth action, well untill pulled out about 3/4 the way.

A crap load of fun! Give your wife gift cards locked inside, will be in a lot of crap, ...but it will be fun!

The solution for Free the Key can be found on You Tube.

So it’s NOT simply keep spinning the key till it slips past each catch. I see sometimes you actually have to back up in order to go forward !

Neat little trick box !

Where can you get the key set? Or did you make it? Very cool.

Hey Guys, The metal key puzzle is called ‘Free the Key’ and can be found on ebay sometimes or ordered through this online puzzle store. They don’t stock it anymore but can order it for you.
Good Luck!
