This is my first piece that I got paid to make! It was only $20, but it’s exciting to get my name out there as a woodworker. The body of the clock is poplar. You can see in the glue-up picture that it has some crazy colors near the top/bottom that I think sort of resemble a sunset, which works perfectly for this “landscape.” I burned the mountain bases to get contrasting snowy tips. The numbers/moon are a glow in the dark resin. I also inlaid some tiny turquoise stars, but they’re hard to see in the pictures. Hardest part was routing the shape of the mountains out of the poplar

Nice and practical feature to glow in the dark.

Nice way to incorporate the hour pips into the landscape. I like the illusion of 12 o’clock being a moon/sun.
