Bullock Murphy Wall Bed

Project by Chris Davis posted 654 days ago 622 views 2 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is a Murphy Wall bed that was completed on 9/14/2007. This version is my favorite. It is the customers favorite following the plain Alpine face. It features sold raised panels for the face and is divided into 4 door-like sections. This one was built identical to one that I keep on display down to the 16” bookcases. The wood of choice, by the customer, is Maple with a custom stain .

The bookcases have 2 drawers and a pull out drink tray with epoxy coated side mount rails. All the shelves in the bookcase are adjustable.

The crown and base moldings add a lot of appeal to this bed. They are made to be removable in one piece for shipping and to make it easy to reassemble. Having it removable also makes it easy to show my displays with or without crown, just by lifting off the crown.

Here are some other Murphy beds with the Bullock face:

I really like this, Chris. I’m not wild about your customers choice of stain, but the woodworking and design are just awesome!
