A friend of mine has a wrecker and wanted me to build a tow truck. He told me about an old cable one he had a long time ago. Not having any pictures I built this from his description. When I made it I had the cable turning. I soon found that the big fingers of the guys could do a lot of damage. Now it does not turn, just looks like it. I also started a diorama for it depicting a 50’s gas station like my shop front. It sits unfinished for now, someday project. No plans, 100% hand built. Oh, I wouldn’t sell it to him after I made it, he understands.

Very impressive looking truck! You did a beautiful job on this, as always. You really need to finish your gas station. What a wonderful way to display this truck. Thanks for posting.

God Bless
