After seeing the Butsudan posted below, I remembered this one that I built a couple of years ago for a client.
Mostly mahogany and Ipe. It has a quasi hidden compartment below. They wanted me to ebonize it, but that is beyond my finishing skills, so I delivered it unfinished, and they decided to leave it that way.
I enjoyed making a project that would be the focus of someone’s prayers.
