"Winter motif" chip carved box (2016)

“Winter motif” hand carved wooden box.

Box material: linden (basswood).

Box sizes:
Length and width: 9 cm (3,54”), height: 6 cm (2,36”).

Finish: Danish oil, box is lined with the cotton cloths.

Technique: chip carving.

Tatiania, as always a unique, innovative design. How do you carve so deeply? Do you use some type of mallet or is it all by hand pressure?
