I decided to use an old claw hammer head that I picked up at a market as a phone stand, the hammer head would not stay standing up with the phone sitting on the claws so as per usual a piece of wood came to the rescue! I used a thin piece of walnut to make a base that acts as a wedge and keeps the hammer head and phone upright on my workbench. I used a gouge to create a groove for the hammer head to wedge into and then rounded of the edges on the scroll saw, sanded to 320 grit and finished both the hammer and base with lacquer!
I made a one minute build video for my YouTube channel BCDesign Please watch it and if you like it subscribe thumbs up and share thanks!
