English walnut

My neighbor had an old walnut with rot in the trunk , I cut it down in trade for the wood, took most of it to my local saw mill and turned some of the smaller chunks. It cuts like butter until you hit nails :(.

Fantastic turnings. Really like the first one. Nice play of colors with that sapwood and bark/live edge.
