A friend of mine wanted a tombstone for his Halloween display so I built this for him, it’s 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

How did you make it? What is it made of? What did you use to finish it?

I made it out of 1/2 inch cdx so it would be a little on the rough side to appear aged. It is made in 2 pieces, the upper part slides into the lower to make it easier to move and store. The finish is some grey porch paint I had left over, 1st a coat of grey then 2nd coat I put light grey in my tray and took a syringe and would squirt a little dark grey on top every 2nd or 3rd roller full as needed to get the stone appearance I wanted.

It looks pretty genuine from the pictures, I’m sure it will be a hit come Halloween!
