I recently built a miter saw table, nothing real fancy. 4’ extension to each side of the saw with a shelf underneath. With this new addition to my shop, I needed to be a bit creative with my router table. It gets some use, but not often enough to justify giving it permanent floor space.
So I decided to take just the router table itself and attach it to the back side of one of the miter saw table wings with piano hinge. The underside had some rails that the router table legs were meant to attach to. Instead, I used them to attach 2 telescoping legs from an old tripod. The legs lock in place with a bolt that slides into place once the table is in position.
I’ve been pretty happy with the results. The table is nice and sturdy when in use, and folds down flat when not needed.

That’s what I call being creative. Good job!

Like router idea, l have the biggest mastercraft router table paid $ 350 for it but metal legs are not very sturdy just gave me an idea instead of me spending $ 399 for a nice cabinet router table.
Think l will remove crappy tin legs and set it on a cabinet which l have to make now seen your great job thanks great work great idea.
