So this was the first thing I made when I got my Planer. It’s completely stolen from Steve Ramsey, thank you Steve. My wife saw this when I was watching youtube awhile back and told me I should make it for her. I told her that I would love to, but I needed a planer to really do it right. Wink. I’ve been bugging her for the best part of a year to let me buy one, but I’ve spent an exorbitant amount of money in my shop the last couple years. See my shop page and read and you’ll understand. Anyway, she finally gave in and several days later… Walnut and Cherry except for the pine dowel but it’s not glued so I will replace with a hardwood dowel eventually. Finished with a satin spray lacquer and waxed.
Again, props to Steve Ramsey and head over to his youtube page and look up folding wine stand.

Those are a lot of fun to make and they make great gifts also. I like your choice of wood.

I think you did a very good job on it.

They are fun to make; but, the research and development get expensive!

Great looking wine stand! I like the walnut/cherry combo—I’m sure your wife will really enjoy it!
