This bed was made for a friend’s grandson, and included 2 nightstands also made of cherry and walnut.

A really nice build. I love the design and the wood colors together. A warm welcome to LJ. I hope you enjoy it.

That’s really nice’ especially with matching end tables (please post pics). That’s a really elegant design.

Off-topic, I always rationalize the cost of lumber and tools with the cost of buying this kind of furniture retail. The numbers below are rough, but I try to find what I’m building for sale somewhere. This helps augment my perceived value of a project, and if worse comes to worse, I can sell something. Just don’t divide the list price by the hours spent on a project. It makes you appreciate the guys that do this for a living.

Cost vs. List:
tabouret table $60 vs. $450
Limbert table $100 vs. $950
headboard $300 vs. $1800
night stand $150 vs. $400
dining table $650 vs. $3500

Beautiful bed. My only complaint is we need more pictures.
