After a month and a half of flood renovations to our home and barn shop my wife and I were able to get out and participate in an art show this past weekend. We had to cancel three shows and I sure missed doing them…

The displays were something I put together and was able to use them for the first time.
We still have work to do on our home but all is coming together nicely.

Thanks guys… I wouldn’t recommend a flood to anyone cuz’ it sure ain’t no fun. I will really be glad when i can get everything back to normal and start creating more woodworking pieces.
I still need to re-organize the shop. Everything is all over the place and I can hardly find anything when I am looking for it. I usually keep my shop very organized and can find most stull blindfolded…

I just got my dust collection working again yesterday and that is a big step forward. i replaced the old cardboard collection drum with a steel one and the filters i have now are big truck filters…they really seem to work good. I got them on the advice of Paul (Shipwright)...They are about half the price of the Wynn filters i had previously and seem every bit as well made…

So glad to see that you are able to get out and do a show. people tend to quickly forget about devastation that occurs in our country because there seems to always be another national tragedy on the horizon… next up, the election.

Keep plugging away at that shop, it’ll be back to normal soon.

The closer everything gets back to normal the better we feel since we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Carol and I have been told my numerous people such as the flood insurance adjustor, bathroom renovators, etc.. that we are way ahead of the game compared to many other houses they have seen.

I really feel sympathy for those with no flood insurance. We have flood insurance but it sure takes a long time for them to process everything and we are still waiting for our claim settlement.
