My first “real” woodworking project. The stainless steel top was rescued from a mall food court, the 2×4’s were donated from a shipping container and the shelf slats were scavenged from a friends old bed. All in all, this project cost me $4 (box of screws) and 4 hours out of my Sunday morning.

I know it’s pretty rough, but this was my first legitimate project. Any and all criticism is welcomed, as I know there are probably a ton of things that could have been done differently/better.

Looks sturdy. You might want to paint the wood to keep it from turning gray and to cover the print on the 2X4.

I wish I could stumble on a ss top for the same purpose.

Excellent salvage job !
You built the table to fit the top.
Good work. I like to see these type of things.

That’s pretty awesome for four dollars.

I love projects which work around salvaged materials. Well done.
