Simple magazine rack from pine

Pine magazine holder. Dados hold the front slats and a central larger slat in the back (which allowed this to be screwed in place). Didn’t like the end grain showing so cut some thin strips to form a border around the sides and the top.

Well done, I like things made of pine boards, reminds me of woodshop

Great rack! Nice attention to the details. That is what separates a woodworker from a saw dust maker. Really love the added strips that cover up the end grain. Gives it the appearance of the horizontal pieces are dadoed in.

Yes – actually those horizontal pieces across the front are dadoed in. I taped the two side pieces together to ensure I had everything lined up and then cut dadoes in the front and back.

This is one of those projects that developed from a picture my husband had found on the web. I pulled out some wood I had at hand and developed my own plan which ended up differing from the picture is about every way other than both hold magazines!
