Hey Everyone,

I’ve been lurking here for a while, taking in all the knowledge and decided to finally post a project. This is a bar cart I built for a couple of my friends that got married a few weeks ago. The design is fairly simple and when you have access to the cheap but very nice walnut and maple wood it certainly helps the finished product.

This is almost entirely made up of walnut/maple with a few other pieces sprinkled in. The bar top is finished with 10 coats of waterlox and the cabinet along with the rest paste wax. The joinery I used was all fairly simple: dowels & biscuits with only 4 pocket screws to reinforce the weight of the cabinet underneath.

It’s simple but certainly my largest project to date. Looking forward to hearing some feedback both good and bad. I need to learn!

That’s a great looking piece of work. The work you put into that finish definitely shows. I’m sure that your friends will really appreciate it.

Looks very nice with this ’’stripes’’ theme.
