Year ago I moved into my new home and just before first winter I realized only my house in neighborhood doesn’t have trash storage. After last winter I decide, this year I have to find some time and make one. In Finland they are called “roski katos” and basically every house or apartment posses one of those. They are coming in different sizes and shapes ,and this one ,which i made is fitting for even two garbage box of 120l. If I wonted to by this kind of garbage storage from some company it would cost me around 800 euros, which is around 900 dollars, but making it by myself cost me less then 200 dollars. There no some kind of special thing about it,it just helps that garbage box doesn’t froze during the winter time. Now it is ready for use, autumn is here, and soon…

WINTER IS COMING :D

That’s a fancy garbage storage. We don’t see many of those around here, just the cans. HA ha. Nice job. Too good to put my garbage in there.

Very neat, well made , and also useful.

That is what projects are supposed to be.

Matching the house in the background, that shows some pride!

Great project!

It is everything I would expect from European craftsmanship; pleasing to look at, efficiency of use and a high level of precision. One of the many reasons I love European woodworking and construction.

Move that to Palo Alto California and you could sell it for $500k because it looks good enough to live in and housing is very expensive there!

Nice job for garbage!

Thanks for nice replays, didn’t expect these kind of comments :)
For roof I used same stuff I have on my house. It is “Weckman kattopelti” and profile name is “teräsaalto”,basicly it is some kind of tin roof. They are coming in few different colors and shapes, but size is always 2m long and 1.1m wide.
I’m happy you like my garbage storage, and if I ever move to California I will think about making those, tnx for advice :)

Wow,thank you all for comments. Didn’t really know there’s no this things in USA. In Finland , it is normal that every house have it. When there is half meter of snow, you found it very useful.

Pozdrav
