These are interior pictures of a barn home . we restored the barn and converted it into an energy efficient super insulated home. Andersen windows, Radiant Heat, Air to air exchange, Spray foam insulation.

I usually share pictures of really cool stuff with my wife. I think I’ll keep this to myself because she will want me to build this too!

How is it insulated? I take it there’s a space between the inner and outer wallboards…

Hi Guys, Thanks for the feedback, To answewr some questions, After restoring the frame, we put on the original sheathing, we then added plywood over this to add additional strength to the frame. We put Spray foam insulation in between 2×6 framing attached on the outside . We put Shiplap barn board on the outside with an air-space for removal of moisture. all the wiring is hidden in the exterior framing. all the plumbing is hidden under the floor.

We could have also used stress skin panels on the outside but opted for the spray foam to make wiring easier.
