I would like to apologize in advance, I know some may be thinking, “Oh great here he comes again with ANOTHER saw.”
I have been making a lot of them lately, they are a fun hobby and I don’t post every one I make as a project, but this one needed to be posted.
This saw is for fellow LumberJock James Wright of Wood by Wright on Youtube.

I met James thru youtube and worked with him on a collaboration video where we made shoulder planes. I have since talked with him quite a bit and we have become good friends. I got to hang out with him a bit at this years WIA in Cincinnati. So I thought I would make him a saw.

This dovetail saw has a slight cant to the 10” blade. The handle is Oregon Myrtlewood, my local favorite.

He isn’t getting this for FREE of course ;) He gave me one of his logo shirts and is going to make me something fun.. not sure what yet, but I know it will be cool. I am hoping for a chisel plane or low angle type plane, hint hint. ha ha.

Very glad I was able to make my friend a saw. Hope he enjoys it.
Thanks for reading.

I’d do more than make out with it… I’d have little 8” dovetail saws popping out of it in 9 months.

I do sell them, I ask $225 for a dovetail saw like this. I try to make it fit your hand and I can make it from a variety of woods.
I will have one for sale on Thursday that looks different than this, but it is nice. I will be selling it on My Instagram account. first come first serve. ;)
It looks like one I saw at WIA that I really liked. You don’t see many like it anymore and I had to start making them. It has a beech handle and a 6” blade. It looks similar to this one.

Freaking gorgeous and you photograph them well. Just beautiful, love the grain and your custom emblem in the nut just sets it off. Well done!

That is so cool! I love myrtle wood, and that might be the nicest use of it that I’ve ever seen. Bravo!
