Peter is a nice man, an employee of one of our Timbertown lumber yards. I’ve been a frequent visitor to the yard to pick up lumber for the jobs I’m involved with. Peter is a gentleman and knew of my scavenger habits, offered me some culled cedar fence posts. Now how could I refuse such an offer!!?? As payment I promised to carve him some boots. These are his dancing shoes. I know they will bring a smile to his face.
I tried to keep the pair similar but there are some differences when I do the free style design and carving. Hopefully the beautiful grain, colour and wood blemishes will give him joy as they did me when I was carving them.
The cedar was easy to carve and finish. I topped the boots with a wipe on poly – spit and polish so to speak.

In conclusion all I can say is, GO PETER GO!!!

Nice pair of shouse, those have pretty realistic look. I would add here holes for laces.

What an imagination! Tell me, Roman. Do you have a special closet for all your footwear, like Imelda had?

Nice! Peter would be crazy not to be happy with these custom-made wooden shoes.
