This is a leopardwood pen finished using my CA method. This is the pen that was made during the video that I showed on my youtube video.

My photo doesnt how how shiny this baby really is…I didnt have the time to set up the correct lighting and tripod for this shot so I just used my auto focus and clicked the photo. Normally, I use a backdrop, photo tent. I set the tripod up and photograph it using the timer so I don’t shake while the aperture is open. Does a much better job.

Thanks for looking,

Grub

Beautiful Grub. Got to check out that video. Looks like my finish but without the shiney spots :) Thanks for all of your help.

Grub, I can’t wait to check out the video…I had some issues with my CA finish today, but it was on a hybrid blank with the PR and a burl cap….looked really good, just kept having issues with the CA hanging onto the PR. :( I will be watching this first thing tomorrow morning… You the man Grub

Nice pen. I watched the video and it was very informative. I have just made a few pens and so far have used CA and then wax but haven’t tried the multiple coats and buffing. When I tried multiple coats my paper towel wants to stick but I haven’t used the excellerator. I will give it a try. Thanks for posting.

Great video, the shine shows up more on the video.
I’ve been doing BLO/CA and it works okay.
I am definitely going to try your method.
Looks quick and easy : )

Also, the pen looks beautiful !! Welcome to LJ’S
