I was commissioned to build a Stadium Style coin rack as a parting gift for the Admiral currently serving as Commander Navy Region Southwest. The Master Chief that commissioned the work gave me full design freedom as long as I incorporated all 3 Chiefs Anchor Rank insignia and a coin from the Chief’s Mess from each of the 11 commands that serve under the Admiral. This will be presented at luncheon in the Admirals honor. As a retired Senior Chief myself I wanted to build something that my fellow CPO’s would be proud to present to the Admiral. I hope that I have succeeded. This is made from cherry wood, stained with red mahogany stain and finished with multiple coats of a contractor grade lacquer. I enjoyed the project and plan to build more of these in the future.
