Had to try something different . Added the additional juice well to my usual juice groove. Joel wanted a plain jane Maple board with clipped corners to actually use , so I figured why not practice on something that was already relatively ugly to start with. I threw in some Birdseye and some other figured Maple just for flavor….I don’t know why some of the Maple appears yellow in the pictures , but it isn’t in real life…LOL
Comments and critiques are welcome : ) Thanks for looking !

The juice well doesn’t look round in the first picture. Is that an optical illusion? Does it look the same in real life?

Turned out real nice.

Greetings Dusty:...... Sorry….,but that’s an ugly cutting board, like you said. I do ,however , like the juice border, but the rest of it….........huh? You are right…. the woods do look different… ok, I’ll keep quite now.

It is an optical illusion…the juice grooves intersect the well at a lower level so they can drain into the well which makes it look distorted. Depending on the shadow line , it either looks perfectly round or not in real life…..Maybe they sold me a defective bit….Hmmmmm , I better check on that !......Thanks for the comment and compliment : )

Matt , isn’t it funny how sometimes they do look similar ?

Rick D…don’t be shy with your comments…I can take it : ) I know it’s fugly , but that’s what the customer wanted : ) Strictly utilitarian and if not for the new well process , I wouldn’t have posted this POScrap !
