I actually finished this back in late August but I just released 3 video podcasts on my site detailing the entire build. If you are interested please check out episode 77, episode 78, and episode 79.

This was the first project that I actually cut all the dovetails by hand and a special thanks goes to Chuck Bender to teaching me how to do it right. The piece is constructed out of Poplar with white pine for the secondary parts. My client wanted a high gloss black finish so it is painted and then waxed.

I enjoyed your podcasts! I usually use a jig or the table saw to construct drawer boxes, but watching your videos has given me the courage to attempt some hand cut dovetails. Thanks!

Great job on the dovetails. A very nice piece, I’m sure your client is very happy.
