Hi All

Here are some pics of my latest carvings, these ladies stand 6 inches tall, carved from eastern white pine, painted in acrylics, sealed in matte finish water based poly.
Hope you like them

Nice! I’ve made one figure from Harley Refsal’s (Oskar) and am working in “Sara”...though I roughed her head out a little too small and will have to fix that. I’m going to have to get some sealer. The ones I’ve made are just painted, so far. Resfal mentions using BLO with a rubbing off to let it sit in the low areas. Any thoughts about that? Just looking for pointers.

Hi Dark_Lightning

I am not a fan of BLO , it stinks, I prefer to use a watered down matte finish water base poly varnish, dries fast no smell does a good job of sealing. A good craft store would likely have it
Thanks for looking in

Thanks! I’ll give the water base poly a shot.
