Very nice! That looks hard – did you really make / carve all of that?

Isn’t woodwork a fascinating hobby? There are more ways to express yourself in wood than one can imagine. Nice work.

Yes Tom I cut each piece on the scroll saw then shape them on sanders, then raise and lower for depth, then finish then glue,no carving this art form is called Intarsia and is really fun to do you should try it. And Don you are so right its a great hobby, many people say I should design my own patterns and that would be cool to do,but there are so many existing patterns out there that I want to make I will die before I get there. Thanks for your imputs.

I saw a “flying geese” pattern recently. I didn’t realize how beautiful it would look up on the wall. Perhaps it is that the woods match the colours of the brick.
The work is stunning !!!

To see and hear the geese flying is one of the most exhilarating events for me each year. But I remember as a child instead of small chevrons here and there the sky was full of geese, large clouds of them. Its sad it is no longer that way for our children to see. An amazing bird and an amazing pictorial you have made.
